(Monday) - 21 June - Government data reported that up to 20 June there had been 127,976 deaths (within 28 days of first positive test) due to Covid-19. There were 9,284 new positive tests reported on 20 June. See also Worldometers - Coronavirus - UK .  The data also reported that 42,964,013 people had received a first dose of vaccine (and 31,340,507 a second dose) up to and including 19 June 2021.

21 June was planned to be the date that coronavirus restrictions in England would come to an end. On 14 June, the government bowed to the inevitable and announced that Covid restrictions would have to remain in place until 19 July though it was reported that "Ministers are confident" that restrictions can then end instead of ending on the hoped for 21 June - BBC News 15 June. This was due to the spread of the "Delta" Variant (or Indian variant) which got into the UK in April 2021. India was not included on the travel "red list" until 23 April.

21 June - BBC News - Government ordered to release secret pandemic planning files - (i.e. files relating to Operation Cygnus).


22 June - Government data reported that up to 21 June there had been 127,981 deaths (within 28 days of first positive test) due to Covid-19. There were 10,633 new positive tests reported on 21 June. See also Worldometers - Coronavirus - UK .  The data also reported that 43,127,763 people had received a first dose of vaccine (and 31,449,915 a second dose) up to and including 20 June 2021.

23 June - Government data reported that up to 22 June there had been 128,008 deaths (within 28 days of first positive test) due to Covid-19. There were 11,625 new positive tests reported on 22 June. See also Worldometers - Coronavirus - UK .  The data also reported that 43,148,843 people had received a first dose of vaccine (and 31,489,240 a second dose) up to and including 21 June 2021.

24 June - Government data reported that up to 23 June there had been 128,027 deaths (within 28 days of first positive test) due to Covid-19. There were 16,135 new positive tests reported on 23 June.
