Thankful Thursday- April 6, 2017

  • Non-picky eaters. Well, all but one of them. No. 2 and No. 3 will try (and eat!) just about anything! Especially No. 3. He likes tuna fish, egg salad, A1 sauce, green smoothies...you name it. A couple of days ago he tried and loved a quick, green pasta that I whipped up. I sautéed garlic, broccoli, and peas in a pan, threw in some bowtie pasta, and spooned in jarred pesto. Which by the way, if you are yet to try the Kirkland brand from Costco-you are truly missing out!! It is SO yummy. No. 3 had THREE helpings. No joke!
  • Our pediatrician's office. I just knew for sure that we were going to be cootie-free for the rest of the school year following last week's craziness. WRONG! No. 2 ended up with pinkeye on Monday. Oy vey! Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment the exact same day and get him started with the eye drops that evening. They work quick! He went back to school yesterday, and prayerfully, this will be the end of all things germs!
  • Instagram. Pinterest and YouTube aren't the only places you can go to learn something new. I've found lots of gardening tips and tricks simply by searching Instagram. I even found someone who lives just a couple of hours from me, which is great since our conditions (weather, soil, etc.) are super similar. I'm hoping to have as awesome of a garden as she does!
  • Coach Hubby. I absolutely love when Hubby is able to coach our boys. He's coached No. 1 in tackle football, soccer, and basketball, No. 2 in tackle football and basketball, and is currently helping coach No. 3 in flag football. No. 3 is so excited! I truly believe that he has found one of his callings. He is knowledgeable, dedicated, and patient. I know I couldn't do it!!
  • Spring Break! Tomorrow is the boys' last day of school until the 18th! I'm looking forward to spending some quality family time together, ditching the strict morning and bedtime routines, and of course, not having to pack lunches. Woohoo! It's the little things, I tell ya...

What are you thankful for today?
