Thankful Thursday- April 13, 2017

  • Flip flop weather. It's here mamas! Or at least it was Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, ha. As soon as it hits 75 degrees, I break them out! And luckily, my office dress code (or lack thereof!) allows me to wear them.
  • Victory Saturday! We had three games and three WINS this past Saturday! It was opening day for No. 2 and his soccer team. And what a game it was. They defeated their opponents 7-5! After the game, Coach gave him the game coin! No. 1 had two AAU basketball games. He hit three back to back three-pointers in their teams 61-40 victory! They won their second game by 15 points (I can't remember the exact score)! It was a great Saturday....especially since none of their games conflicted. Winning!
  • Day in D.C. We had an awesome day in our Nation's Capital today! We started off with a visit to Madame Tussauds. It was our first time there. We posed with The Obamas, Harriet Tubman, George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, BeyoncĂ©, and many, many more. If you've never been, I definitely recommend adding it to your bucket list! Afterwards, we picked up lunch at The Wharf. I don't think there's anything better than seafood on a nice, sunny day! We took our food to Hains Point for a picnic; sun shining in our faces, fresh cut grass under my feet, hubby and the boys tossing a football, and views of The Potomac River and cherry blossoms made for an absolutely perfect day!
  • Easter. I can't wait to spend the day with my family! I love dying eggs and getting to play Easter Bunny for my boys. It never gets old, even with a teen, a tween, and an 8 year old. My mother-in-law holds an annual Easter egg hunt for her grandchildren. They all look forward to it. She easily hides 200-300 eggs. And they are filled with some pretty awesome stuff, including candy,  money, and the highly coveted movie tickets! After the hunt, we will head over to my Nana's house for dinner. This year we're having a barbeque. I can almost taste that bacon cheeseburger!!!

What are you thankful for today?
