Thankful Thursday- March 9, 2017

  • A posed picture worth purchasing. Finally! I'm sure most of you can relate. You know those ones you take your time gelling their hair for, that cost a fortune, only to get back and they're not even looking at the friggin' camera?!? Yep, those pictures! WELL, I recently got No. 3's basketball pictures back and guess what? I'm actually happy I bought them! He looks so stinkin' both the team and individual pictures. Winning!
  • Daylight saving time. While I'm obviously not too keen on losing an hour of sleep (because I do love my sleep!), I am still excited for it. I'm excited for the extra hour of sunlight it will bring. An extra hour for the boys to play outside, an extra hour for evening walks with my hubby and Ginger, an extra hour for outdoor sports practices. And yet another tell-tale sign that Spring is almost here!
  • My neighborhood. We couldn't have asked for a better neighborhood. My husband always reminds me of just how lucky we are. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac with a private pool at the end of it. The only time there is really any traffic is during swim season. Yesterday afterschool it was filled with the sounds and sights of children playing. Everyone had a play date; No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and even Ginger girl! Ha! Her bff, Coco, from across the street came over to play in our yard. It was so cute to see them chasing one another around and even drinking water from the same bowl!
  • Heated seats & good tunes. It took me an hour and a half to get to work today. An hour and a half to go approximately 15 miles. Ugh! That's enough to make you go crazy first thing in the morning. Luckily, I was driving the Pilot which has heated seats (perfect for a certain time of the month, if ya know what I mean!) as well as Bluetooth capability which allows me to play songs from my phone. The heated seats, Ricky Martin, Maluma, and Shakira made being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic not so bad after all.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Unfortunately No. 1's team fell one game short of the big game. They played hard, but it just wasn't enough this time. Boo. Coach Hubby and No. 2's team made it though! They played a great game in the semi-finals and beat the team who gave them their first loss of the season to advance to the Championship! The big game will be played this coming Saturday. I will definitely be baking my good luck basketball cupcakes again this year. GO WARRIORS!

What are you thankful for today?
